David Pieper

Boasting 21 years of experience, David is an LPL Financial Advisor who focuses on small business and retirement planning. Working with more than just his clients in these areas, David often takes his work home with him. As a matter of fact, he has owned and operated two small businesses with his wife, Betsy, and his two youngest kids max out their Roth contributions every year!

David has a robust educational background, including a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Organizational Management from Gustavus Adolphus College and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Marquette University.

Additionally, David obtained his Series 6, 7, 63, and 66 Securities Licenses (currently held through LPL Financial), as well as life, health, and property and casualty (P&C) insurance licenses. Meanwhile, stepping into his father’s shoes, Christopher Pieper, David’s youngest son, holds all but the P&C insurance license.

Beyond his experience as a financial advisor, David runs his 300-acre family farm, where his kids are the sixth generation of Piepers to call it home. Although he also grew up in Janesville, WI, and Roseville, MN, he has enjoyed his time on the farm the most, getting to savor the company of his great-grandmother, grandparents, parents, and five children—not to mention the cows.

In his spare time, David serves as the Houston County BPOU chair and serves on his local church council. Not only that, but he has officiated sports for over 30 years for high school and collegiate athletes.

Last but not least (as he is nothing without the women behind the scenes), David has his wife and his two office managers to thank for their hard work. His wife, Betsy, renovated and still runs the 1854 Historic Caledonia Inn and previously operated Betsy’s Bed and Breakfast out of the 1910 Sears house on the farm where his son now lives.

Split between two offices, David spends most of his time in the Caledonia office, found on the first floor of the Caledonia Inn. When off the clock, Janelle, his office manager at this location, farms with her husband, Jeff.
